The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. They recognise outstanding achievement, teamwork and companies.

 

We are proud to announce the winners of the inaugural RICS Americas Awards 2023.

For the first time in the Americas, we officially celebrated the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations within the region and showcased their great work on the world stage.

The winners were presented with their awards at a ceremony held at the Stern School of Business in New York, on 15 June.

All our winners represent a commitment to the highest ideals of professionalism and standards, from across the built environment in the Americas.

Winner Announcements

We feel that Turton Bond's continued championing of the RICS and active engagement, as well as the numerous successes we've had as a business should stand us in good stead for the receipt of this award. Our work product and success in numerous notable and flagship projects and client organizations is testament to the outstanding Quantity Surveying performed by our amazing and dynamic team. Not only does this further enhance the already growing reputation of Quantity Surveying within the USA, it also promotes the RICS.

The Canadian real estate industry is evolving to encourage developers to build with affordability, sustainability, and accessibility in mind through the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Rather than nominate Canada ICI for any one project, Canada ICI is nominated based on its commitment to this program and initiative. The company has funded $5.6B in mortgage volume in 2022-2023 and accounts for 13% of funding to these projects nationwide.

Special attention to cultivating a culture of teamwork and sharing success is essential to Canada ICI's evolution and differentiation.

Google’s Bay View project rethinks how a building integrates with nature, providing healthy sustainable places for people to do their work. It was designed to be one of the most sustainable buildings in the world. Achieving LEED_NC v4 platinum certification as well as the largest building ever to attain International Living Future Institute (ILFI) Living Building Challenge (LBC) Water Petal Certification.

Turner & Townsend are incredibly proud to have worked on such a ground-breaking development with an amazing client, providing cost management services since the start of the project through completion and close out.

Our Judges remarked, “Google Bay View is clearly one of the most environmentally advanced developments in North America!”

A property appraisal company with more than two decades of experience, consolidated its position as a leader in Bolivia in 2022, establishing itself in the five most important cities in the country. It is the only company in this condition thanks to its commitment to excellence and quality, reflected in its ISO 9001 certification, the ISO 17024 certification of its experts, regulation by RICS and the development of control AVMs, automated information management models.

Our judges added, “This was an amazing group of participants and I have to say I am impressed and even a little envious of the talent out there!”

Lisa McIntyre is a dynamic cost and program management professional, team leader, and director at Linesight. An LGBTQ+ woman in an industry dominated by men, Lisa has demonstrated a track record of professional success and has spearheaded DE&I efforts for Linesight’s Americas division.

Throughout her career, Lisa has shown passion, dedication, and empathy for her clients, peers and the larger community, who consistently single out her commitment to collaboration and inclusivity. A vital driver of Linesight’s success in the Americas, Lisa has played an undeniable role in driving positive change in the workplace.

Our Judges said, “These are the voices we need to hear more of to encourage greater diversity in the industry!”
